When it comes to technology adoption, I refer to myself as a visionary. Which means, in a nutshell, that I am an early adopter of technology. No, I'm not a technology enthusiast, I'm not just curious about the technology. I actually adopt if for a useful purpose.
My most recent purchase however was as a pragmatist. I got my wife a new computer for her home office. Sometimes she likes to watch a bit of TV while doing her work. But she didn't want to clutter up her office with both a monitor and a TV. So, why not add a DirecTV connection to her monitor. Not so fast.< ...

Google has just announced plans for "Google Chrome", a web browser intended to compete with Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. Is this a "too late" entry into the market for browsers, or a sly move by Google ?
Depends on Google's real objective with "Google Chrome", which will initially be released as a beta version...
Microsoft is clearly the "Gorilla" (not guerilla) of the browser market. And Google is the Gorilla of the Internet search market in the U.S. That means they each enjoy greater than 40% market share in their respective markets, have > 2X the market share of their largest competitors ...

Greetings, and thanks for stopping by! With the thousands and thousands of blogs and forums around, why another and why one called "Chasm Forum"?
Over the years we've had the privilege of working with hundreds of high-tech (and a few not-so-high-tech companies also) around the world. Inevitably, we are told that the work is great and the principles learned are universally accepted, but there's no single place for fellow users of Chasm principles to go and interact with each other. Nor is there a single place where any and all things related to high-tech marketing and the Technology Adoption Life Cycle (TALC) can be referenced and discussed. Chasm Forum is that place.
