Hi my name is Thomas, I am 32 years old, originally from Denmark but stationed in Saigon, Vietnam, where I manage a software developing company called Catglobe Vietnam Ltd. where we currently employ 26 Catglobians.
We are developing an ERP system for the research and analysis industry, where our special strength over other systems for this industry is that we gather all the working processes in one system.
Thus we can handle project management, conducting surveys (CATI, CAWI, CAPI), and reporting on the collected data in the same system, and we have an advanced scripting engine which allows workflows to be executed before, during, and after completion of interviews.
I am reading Crossing the Chasm by Geoffrey Moore, and I found this forum when I was looking for more material written by him, because reading this book has really opened my eyes for marketing strategies, not something I considered that much in my past having a very technical background in computer science.
I can see that we as a company has made more than one mistake already described as a no go in Crossing the Chasm, so I wish I had read it sooner. Now I recommend my employees to read this very important book, and it's going to be my bible as I plan our entry into the Vietnamese market.
Thank you to Mark Cavender for setting up this forum, your name is familiar to our company since the director in our Danish mother company, Catglobe A/S, participated in one of your workshops a while back and he speaks in high appraisals about the work you are doing for companies who need to cross over.
